Quite a process it is, considering you won’t see the red wines from this vintage until 2016 or 2017.  That means this is the vintage we will likely celebrate our daughter, Kirsten’s (aka Lizzy) high school graduation with.  Wow…I think I sprouted a few grey hairs just typing that…what special moments our Harney Lanes wines are a part of!…

From a winemaking perspective, each step in the process plays a vital role to the development of grapes. Currently, our vineyards are going through their crucial dormant stage. Dormancy is an important period in any organism’s life cycle. This stage occurs after the vines…

Thankful…

Enjoy a sweet note from Kathy, our wonderful matriarch! “Fall is one of my favorite times of year.  It means so many different things to me.  In our family we have many birthdays to celebrate during the season.  We also look forward to harvest that fall brings.  Our men work crazy hours and lack sleep but it’s year of work brought to rest.  I love the color changes, the different smells and  the cozy feeling fall brings. November is always a good reminder of all the things I am thankful for.  I am thankful for…
