This year, we’re celebrating something truly special: Harney Lane’s 20th harvest. Honestly, it feels a bit surreal. Someone said to me the other day that our journey is similar to what they say about raising kids—the days creep by, but the years? They zoom past. That’s exactly how it feels. This journey’s been a ton of work, but oh, it’s been so rewarding. It never gets old, always keeps us on our toes, and we’ve learned so much. Yet, there’s always more to discover. Here are a few lessons that hit home more with every passing year:
QUALITY INGREDIENTS MATTER
You know how a great meal starts with the best ingredients? That’s our philosophy, too. From day one, we’ve poured our hearts into cultivating our vineyards to their fullest potential, creating wines that shine in beautiful, high-quality bottles with matching labels. We don’t skimp on barrels or corks, and we certainly don’t cut corners with our service. Our team—kind, caring, and full of hospitality—is just as essential as the grapes we grow. We’re committed to quality over quantity, and you can count on us to keep it that way.
THE BALANCE OF GRACE + GRIT
Our label’s a nod to the dance between grace and grit, and that balance is at the core of how we farm. Each year, the season throws us a new challenge, and farming is no easy task. But it has taught us to appreciate the beauty of how nature functions when it’s balanced. We’ve learned that, just like in life, it’s about knowing when to step in and when to step back. Sometimes, the vineyard’s ecosystem does a better job than any tinkering we could do. We’ve always farmed sustainably, but we’ve come to see that often, less is more—letting nature take its course is pure magic.

At the end of the day, wine is simply our way of bringing people together. We’ve always enjoyed connecting with our guests, but over the years, that has become our guiding principle.
