Eat Local, Drink Local – Supporting Our Community

Harney Lane award winning wine

We welcomed the new year with new Lodi wines, wonderful shipping specials and hope for good things to come! With the phenomenal support of our amazing guests and club members, we are nothing but optimistic for the future of 2021. You have come through for us and we encourage you spread that love to our local restaurant friends and family as well. As the weather turns with the season and you look for delicious take-home options, we have a few suggestions that will not only satisfy your cravings but also give our beloved Lodi eateries a boost!

What are some of your favorite local dishes to pair with our wine? Here are just a few suggestions from our many stand outs:

Award winning Harney Lane wine with Cheeses

Cheese Central:
Give us all the cheese, please! You cannot go wrong pairing any of our wines with Cheese Central’s delectable selection of fresh fromage. What are our personal preferences? Right now, the Artigiano Aged Balsamic & Cipollini Onion with Scottsdale Zinfandel is unrivaled. Crackers and salami are the only accessories you need – leave the fruit to the wine. We consider this a dinner on its own, but tread carefully as this cheese will disappear before you know it!Porter's Pub, Lodi

Porters Pub:
Are you geared up for Super Bowl Sunday? During football season, nothing screams game day like wings, wings and more wings. Porters Pub’s tangy Sweet Thai Chili Wings with our Dry Rosé are a little bit sweet and a little bit spicy. The Rosé is refreshingly crisp, followed by soft notes of strawberry to cool you right down. But don’t limit yourself to just one flavor. Take a look at Porters’ menu for all of their yummy options. You can start picking your wine pairings, along with your winning teams, now!

Lodi's M Sushi Pairs with white wines

M Sushi Bistro:
M Sushi has so many creative offerings that it’s hard to chose just one item from their extensive menu. Pairing our Dry Rosé with a Veggie Delight roll combines fresh layers of flavors that linger. The combination is truly a gift that keeps on giving. Or try the Roll Over Lobster roll and the M roll with a crisp Albariño or Scottsdale Chardonnay. The freshness of the wine and crab will have you practically licking the plate clean.

Towne Corner

Towne Corner Cafe:
Locals and out of towners, alike, rave after dining in at the intimate Towne House Restaurant, nestled amid Wine & Roses’ stunning hotel grounds. While our friends at Towne House hope to get cooking again soon, their sister cafe – Towne Corner – is wide open with an extended takeout menu that features breakfast fare and classic lunch with a twist. Pair an afternoon stroll in the vineyards with their egg salad sandwich, made with Castelvetrano olives, capers and green apple on a brioche bun. Yum! Our pairing pick? Chef Bradley’s pork shoulder-pinto bean chili and our Lizzy James Old Vine Zinfandel. A chili wine to its core, the spice and hearty fruit of Lizzy James’s 115 year old vines sing with every bite – a taste that was made for winter afternoons in wine country.

Fiori's Butcher Shoppe, Lodi

Fiori’s Butcher Shoppe & Deli:
Our mouths are already watering at the thought of Fiori’s Italian tri tip. Whether in a sandwich or out on the grill, this mouthwatering cut of steak pairs fantastically with any of our red wines. A big bite of tri tip and a glass of our robust Home Ranch Petite Sirah are enough to make any night feel like a special occasion. Whatever your mood, Fiori’s offers it all, from their diverse array of sandwiches, salads and deli fixings to curated specialty goods, meals to go and a scrumptious baked goods.

Pietros of Lodi

Pietro’s:
If you dream of warming up next to a fire for a date night, Pietro’s authentic Italian dishes will instantly transport you to a European getaway without ever leaving your dining room. Pair their rich, red-sauced Italian fare with our Cabernet Sauvignon. Its silky fruit and soft pepper flavors will enhance every delicious bite. With so much to choose from, it’s hard to pick just one. Luckily, Pietro’s offers a rotating selection of local and seasonal specials. One of our favorites? The eggplant parmigiana. Deliziosa!

So, pick up a bottle of wine (or two), order takeout from one of the many small businesses offering you an oven-free dinner, and turn an ordinary night in into an evening worth celebrating. After all, life is what you make it and good food with a little Wine:30 sounds like a pretty great life.
